Broken part in engine bay, no clue what it is

So I was cleaning my engine bay and I found this part. The bracket that holds it in place was broken off so it is just moving freely attached to the wire.

What is this exactly and do I have to buy a new one since the bracket piece is broken off.

Siren from an alarm currently installed or possibly installed before you got it.

if its under warranty and you are the original owner, you can get that replace for free.
if not , suggest you invest in a battery back up version or a plain simple siren.

Incorrect, that's an Audiovox siren, 1 year warranty. Viper is lifetime, Audiovox is junk and they know it so they give a joke of a warranty.

my other suggestion to get a different siren if he still use an alarm.

I would agree. They are all compatible so any 12V car alarm siren will work.
