Broken Passenger CV boot

I noticed that my passenger side CV boot is broken and leaking.

1) Is it ok to drive like this for the time being or will it damage something else?

2) How can I fix it so that in doesn't break in the future?

1. I would try and get the boot replaced sooner than later. You don't want to get dirt or water in and contaminate the grease or into the CV joint. Also with the boot ripped, you're probably losing grease which keeps the CV lubricated.

2. Check to see if there is a heavy duty boot option available. I've seen them for the 2nd gen in Performance Product catalogs.

Thanks for the advice, I searched but could not find said product. Does anyone else have any other tips/advice?

Maybe try the vendors in this thread. I know it pertains to the FJ, but hopefully those vendors will have something available for you too.
