Broken Rear Diff Breather

Just got done retrofitting an e-locker 3rd on my 4runner and while I was under there I noticed that my differential breather plug was broken. I've order the parts to do the diff breather extension mod but in the meantime, it's snowing in Colorado and I'm not sure I can drive without slushy snow splashing up and getting into the differential. Are there any temporary fix options until my parts come in? Thanks

If there's anything left sticking up off the diff, cut off a corner of a sandwich bag or the finger of a rubber glove - put it over the breather and zip tie.
Depending on how long it's been broken, the slop from this storm probably won't do any more damage than the last 3 have already done.
