4th gen 4unner, V8. I have a broken rear diff. I haven't opened and removed the 3rd yet to see the specifics. I can move it around in the lot, under front wheel drive power the rear clunks, and clicks, clangs, bangs.
This is what I'm thinking, I think I can, need some confirmation or if I missed something and I'm overlooking something major.
I can get some temporary spare 4.56 and 4.88 rear 3rd members but no 3.73. With the drive shaft removed I think I can install one of these and the ratio difference won't matter since the tcase will be disconnected? This will make it so I can figure what I need to get to repair what I have, I can move it around the lot easier and I can put the axles back in.
