Broken Seat Bolt - How to best remove

Hey everyone,

Planning to install seat jackers, I found that the previous owner of my runner sheared one of the rear driver's seat bolts and didn't bother to address the issue.

I need to extract the bolt which is sheared off flush.

What's the best way for me to extract what's left of the bolt?

Are screw extractors like the one below up to a task like this? I know for the 3 bolts that were in place, I had to use a breaker bar to bust them loose.

I would seriously consider buying a welder and welding a nut in there. Then it comes right out using the newly welded nut. I've never had good luck with extractors, but a welder has been worth it's weight in gold for removing rusty/broken fasteners on my crusty 4runner. I have the HF titanium Flux 125 and I really like it. Small enough to be toted around, powerful enough to build a lot of things to get you started in welding. I recommend the Vulcan helmet, although it does cost almost as much as the titanium welder

A good quality drill bit and easy out would probably solve that issue. I’ve also had surprising luck with a good sharp chisel and a steady hammer to break the the broken stud loose and just spin it out with a pick. Good luck!
