Brush guard paint

So I got this bad ass brush guard, I sanded off all the old paint to bare metal. Now I want to paint it with the most durable paint, or maybe bedliner paint.

Brush gaurd

You can't go wrong with professional rustolium pant. You can pick it at lowes. Used it on mine and looks great! Just take your time and spray lightly and recoat several times. It will last forever.

You can prime and paint (multicoat) yourself, but $200 is not bad for a professional pcoating job...

I just painted the smittybuilt bumper on my pickup with rustoleum "Hammered" paint. I thought it was black but turned out to be a dark, graphite grey. It looks totally bad ass, I almost didn't use but figured what the heck. Best thing about it is it looks like a hammered finish and seems really durable for a rattle can job. I can snap a picture of it if you want.

Sure I'd like to see it, Graphite dark may go really well with the finish I have in mind for the 4runner.

Man that looks great! Wish I would have tried the hammered look. I just went with gloss black.

One thing I would reccomend if using this paint is to keep going with light coats after your first coat. I started going heavier and heavier because this paint has very little tendency to run. What that ended up doing was making a hammered pattern over the top of first coat breaking the pattern up into a smaller more of an orange peel type look instead of the initial deeper, longer hammered look it had after 1 coat.

That rustoleum hammer finish is awesome, I top coated it with clear. One can covers it all in multiple layers. Take a look.
