front runner & rear bumper guards

Does anybody know where I can get a stainless steal front runner and rear bumper guard? I saw a picture with them on a titanium limited. It looked great, but waag stopped making them in stainless. Does anybody else make them in stainless steal. I want them on my titanium limited.
 
I got a new Chrome Westin Safari Bar off Ebay for $100, and the mounting brackets for $34 from AZtruck.com...

Now if I could that f---ng nut off under there, I could put it on!!

I actually prefer the way that momo.75 does it. Lights, but no bar (or so it seems). So momo, how's about telling us what lights you have on there and how they're mounted?

I'm trying to stay away from the "urban warrior" look.
 
Brush guards make your truck look like the nerdy kid with braces on and covers up a nice frontend on Runners.
 
"brush guards" will cause more damage then then they prevent in a small impact. Plus they look stupid on a street vehicle, and reduce fuel mileage by adding more aerodynamic drag. They're like trying to be an urban cowboy or something. If you have a lift, some fat mudders, and mesquite tree pinstriping, then you probably have a reason to use a brush guard. Otherwise, it's out of place and does not belong on a vehicle. It's just for show, kinda like the sport edition's hood scoop lol. Or the Ferd Rustang's hood scoop.

JMPO though.... :beer: :p

I love my hood scoop ..... really add's the HP.....lol :D

Youve obviously never parallel parked in New York City then. Its either add a brush guard for parking protection, or youre constantly repainting/replacing both your front and rear bumber. I hate this city.

LOL I wouldnt touch NYC with a thousand mile pole!!!

Coming from being raised in the country on my parent's 60 acre farm, to getting married and moving into a normal city lot that's not even a quarter acre here in Fort Worth, is more "city" living than I can currently take. I've been her for five years and it feels like the walls are closing in each day. I'm used to having space, and not worrying about someone stealing my lawnmower out of my back yard. Now I'm crowded in, have to be constantly theif conscious, and cant walk out and pee off my front porch (well at least not without the neighbors raising a fuss LOL)

I couldnt last a day in that hellhole of a crowded city. :awais:
 
Haha yeah it is crowded, yet somehow we still have the worst driver's in the US out here in CA. So if you have a 4runner in CA, better watch out for morons that can't drive, and love to cut people off.
 
lol, i love walking outside and taking a piss, dont have to worry about getting it on the seat or flushing, ummm nature!

and if u leave ur keys at home, just use the brush guard to open the gate... allways works for me

Ya know, I used to not like them much, but after my recent trip out West to Montana & Wyoming with antelope and dear that seem to be about fearless (and my wife's attraction to deer - she has hit 2 of them in the past 3 years) I like the ide of them.

They do look a bit awkward, and I have not found one the looks overly fantastic on the 4Runner or a Taco.
 
brush bar

Hi folks, after hitting a deer last Monday on the way to work,I'm thinking about a bar of some kind.We live with deer all around us,I've hit one before as have my wife,(other vehicles)With an insurance deductable of $250, one ''mild'' impact and I'd be ahead; if the bar protects at all.My damage totals $3600 on my 08 with 3900 miles on it!I'm told my truck will be in the shop for maybe ten days,thanks for all the links to the various styles,got some lookin' to do.
 
Brushguards offer zero protection from animals and heavier type objects hence the name "brush" guards. You want protection you need to replace the bumper with a full steel one.

Brush guards are simply connected under the frame and aren't supported anywhere up top from simply being pushed back into the hood even in a slow speed crash and it spreads out the damage over the front end even if just hit in one part of the front.

Brush guards are more for looks and a place to put lights and offers mild protection if you bump something at a slow speed and keeps "brush" from scratching the frontend when off road but they won't do a thing against deer and the such.

Do real research to see if a brushguard will really fit your needs.
