Bubbles around A/C sight glass???

Last night, I just noticed tiny, tiny little bubbles escaping from around the outside rim of the refrigerant sight glass. Feels like an oily substance, very thin, making the bubbles. Not enough to drip or anything, but something is leaking out.

The A/C runs fine...for now. Any ideas? Is this normal?

No it's not normal, I would take it in and show them. The oil is refrigerant oil but you are also losing freon.

Thanks...I had a bad feeling it was not normal. Anyone else ever experience this?

I bought my Certified Runner in July, so I'm hoping they will cover whatever this is.

he s right, get it fixed. otherwise, one day you ll go out there & the ac will be blowing warm air.

Get it fixed asap before you lose pressure and worst, oil. Once the system doesn't have the oil flowing the compressor seals will break down, and the whole system will need an overhaul.

Funny you bring this up. I noticed my sight glass was all oily yesterday when I had the hood open so I checked today and the coolant is low. Mine too had bubbles coming out from around the sight glass. You could see them very easily. Mine is a 03 and looks like this line needs to be replaced. It appears to be called the Liquid line front and is $120.00. Here is the parts diagram link:
