Budbuilt Hidden Winch

Hey everyone - I did some research and noticed that budbuilt and cbi (sp?) have hidden winch plates to work with our stock bumpers. I know it can be a little tight back there for 9500 and 12000lb winches (though they are possible to fit) but does anyone know if an 8000lb winch of a slightly lighter version will fit easily on the budbuilt mount on 03-05 frame? they do have a different plate for 06-09 i believe, but i have a 2004. i am thinking about going this route vs a bumper (not really looking to get into pro and cons of each) but only if an 8000lb or if they have slightly lighter like 7500 even will easily fit? i will call the manufacturer if need be. Thanks!!

it might not be CBI...might have been another maker that starts with a C.

does anyone know of a smaller winch that will work for m v6 and fit the budbuilt hidden winch plate without having to move AC lines or hack things up too much? thanks again.

I'll be getting the C4 Fab unit. Not exactly hidden, but low key for sure.
