Budbuilt or Skidrow skid plates?

I have Bud front, and home brew belly pan. I would highly recommend not going with the skid row plates. The buds are a better design. I have a few friends that have had issues with the skid rows. The entire skid row set is more expensive and offers less coverage than the buds.

I finally re-installed my Bud Builts today. I can't imagine there being a better skid plate combo out there. They fit like a glove, are extremely high quality, and I hear his customer service is fantastic.

Without a doubt go for the BudBuilt skids. I had the full setup on my Tacoma. Also, I used to live in the same town he currently lives and through hanging out/purchasing BudBuilt products/wheeling with him, I learned that he is a trustworthy man with quality engineered products. He will hands down provide the best customer service of any off road vendor/supplier out there.
When you purchase the BudBuilt skids, tell him "Hello" from me and enjoy beating on those skids!

As far as the skid rows I have seen they seem a little short and bend. I actually think the trail gear Tacoma single transfer case crossmember/skid is the best for clearance and strength it's made out of 3/8" steel and it actually holds the transmission and case so there will be no chance of smashing it and getting the horrible noise from your case vibrating against the skid. It's not a complete bolt on application as I believe you have to drill a few holes in the frame. Check it out at trail gear.com.
The bud belly pan seems like nicest bolt on application

Yes, the Bud will fit with a diff drop. I don't think Bud is on this forum, but I think he's on ttora.com. He doesn't have any discount codes that I know of, but if you buy the skid and belly either together or even seperately, you get them both for $500. Bud has the best customer service on the planet.

The SkidRows are still nice and I actually think if you're only getting a front skid, the SR is a stronger skid with welded sides and more attachment points. But, if you're going to get belly protection, the 2 brands aren't compatible so you must use the SR tranny and t-case skids with the SR front skid. The problem with that is, the SR t-case skid doesn't go all the way to the last crossmember which leaves a big empty space (hole) between the t-case and that last crossmember for you to get hung up on rocks right there. That and the fact the SR full 3-piece package costs ~$200 more than the Buds (but the SRs come powerdercoated) and the SRs have ~1' less coverage under the truck.

Something tells me that you can make the two work, skid front and the rest buds.
I havent seen how they both mount but after all, it's just metal.

It would be a lot of work. The front of the BB belly pan joins the back of the BB front skid in open air, and at a specific angle.
With the right tools, I'm sure a fab shop could make them work together, but probably not very easily.

That and the SR front skid isn't as long as the BB skid so you would have to make yourself a 3rd small skid to go inbetwen the 2 to join them together.
