Bug Shield Suggestions

Hi all,

Did some searching, but didn't really find what I was looking for.

I'm considering to get a bug shield for my 98 limited runner and I would appreciate your suggestions/recommendations for one that will look nice on my rig. I would prefer one that has a sleeker look to it and fully wraps around from each of the corner lights.

Thanks!

I went with the one manufactured by toyota and could not be happier. have had it since the day the truck rolled off the lot.

I'm partial to the AVS version since it offers the coverage w/o being too tall, fit the curve of the hood nicely and you can easily fit a hand behind it to clean it and it won't hold road debris between the defelctor and your paint.

You can use the supplied bumpstops on the hood but they aren't really needed as the deflector doesn't come in contact with the hood even at high speeds.

Thanks for the replies! :)

From the pics you guys posted, I have decided that I will either get an AVS or lund avenger series.

Could anyone recommend a good website to order one from?

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies!

Clemsonfan15: Thanks for the pic! I like how the OME bug shield follows the shape of the hood. And it's not too tall or short IMO. If I find a good one for sale at a reasonable price I'll go with OME.

Haddix: Thanks for the link. I emailed the seller with a few questions. If he can ship to my area and the guard is in good condition, I'll consider getting it since it's within my budget.

well this dont make any since i cant find mine anywhere they list 90-95 and like 03-07

How's the cost of living there compared to California??
I'm not too familiar with California, but I would guess that it's slightly more expensive to live here than there, because of the added cost to ship goods over the Pacific.

Take gas prices for example. A few years ago we were paying over $4 per gallon while the other states were paying a dollar or less per gallon than we were.

Last week when I got gas for the runner, the price per gallon was around $3.60 for 91 octane.

Ok, so I tried looking for a OEM bug shield, but did not find one that was in good condition for a reasonable price. So, I decided to go with the AVS Bugflector II and could not be happier. Installing it took only a minute or two and it looks awesome! Here are some pics of it installed: (Not the best pics, I know)
