Build: Project Reality

I went with led in high beams only due to their instant on nature. The output is good. It is better than halogen and works fine with drl mode. I went HID in low beam due to output. Far and away best of the three upgrades. Very bright. I went with Phillips 4200k bulbs. I had the rigid fogs on my jeep and loved them. The LED fogs are good also but do not compare to rigids in output. Xenon depot is where I got lighting upgrades from.

Smkymntn, thanks to the info,
So the DRL works well with the headlight LED even with the voltage drop ...
Pretty cool, I am like you , the "instant on" is a big plus and also the 50000 hours lifespan of the bulb.
I hear great things about Xenon depot.....
Are your fog lights Philips ultinon?
Erick.

XD has a feature in there LEDs that allow for the low amp DRL to work flawlessly. Yes I did the Ultinon and love them.

Again ...great info!
Smky, did you also do the front and rear turn signals or would the heat emitted from the HID lows be too much for the small LED bulbs?

Anytime glad to help. I have not changed the turn signals. I have been focusing on electrical charging (alternator and battery) in preparation for stereo upgrade. I would stick with a high quality led for those. I am not even sure they have HID for that or why you would need it. I have the Philips led for running lights but have not installed yet.

To be more precise I meant that the turn signal LED bulb would be housed next to the halogen or HID low beam and the heat generated in that area by these lamps is probably why Toyota did not use LED's for the front marker light and front parking /turn signal bulb. They could get damaged by the heat I would think.
Now if the high and low beams are LED that's a different story they are a lot cooler!
By the way what do you mean by "running lights"?
Erick.

Sprint booster, URD Y pipe, magnaflow exhaust, SCS stealth 6, BFG KO2 275/70/17, 35%tint all around including windshield, TRD intake, Xenon depot Low beam HID, LED XD high beam, XD LED Fog w/ laminx yellow, Aidanjames LED fog housing DRL,vintage Toyota shiftknob, scan gage, Toytec 3" lift, bilstein 5100 shocks, Zaino bros protected.

I will add pics of stereo, brake to turn and canvasback. Putting trd skid plate on this weekend. For stereo I went with all JL Audio. Fix 82 so i could keep stop head unit, C3 6.5 in doors and dash, C3 5.25 in rear hatch and a box fit over passenger wheel well and into storage cubby with a shallow JL 10" sub. Moved the inverter so it's flush on wheel well. All powered by a JL 1000 watt amp. I have had a lot of different stereos in the past but I am truly blown away by the clarity of the JL speaker. I can hear parts of the music I didn't know were there. The bass is not overpowering and I Achieved my goal of making a system that can play everything with a perfect soundstage.

Couple quick updates. Baja design Led fog lights. Squadron sport- low wide beam. Love the output.

Highlander mirrors with blindspot mirrors. Easy 10m install and a huge difference, especially on a lifted truck.

Did you go through wheel wells for the baja install?
