A couple of thoughts:

1. I can't believe how much work you did to your 4R. Holy sheet... wow!

2. I wondered how you got that desert tan color. Nice job!

3. How do you like your new Tacoma? I've got a deposit down on one. The only debate has been Super White vs. Sand. Wife keeps calling the sand color "baby poo brown" to dissuade me.

Thanks. I love the quicksand color personally. There arent a ton of them around. I love the Tacoma, but they arent for everyone. Lots of people complain about highway gear hunting. That is true to an extent. It has 6 speed auto, 5 and 6 are overdrive gears so it will kick out of OD into 4 when hitting hills. It has more gears to choose from so there will certainly be more shifting. It also doesnt make much torque below about 3k rpm so it will shift to get into a better gear for more power. Just give it a little more throttle and it will be fine.

I did not know Roger personally but only from this forum. My interaction with him although brief and mundane gave me a distinct feeling of an enthusiastic young man with incredible mechanical skills. His "Mothra the blown budget build"" is awesome and a great source for others. I am saddened to see such a promising young man with a bright future depart so young. This year has been a year of agony and sorrows for a whole lot of folks, also for me personally because I've had a few family members including my first cousin succumbed to Covid. I can only offer my sincere condolences to the berived and hope that the Lord grant them strength and good memories. I believe in God and can only take solace in the fact that there is an after life in which Roger will be happy and look down upon his loved ones and see them thriving. May the Lord forgive our sins and grant us heaven and Saint Peter welcome Roger with open arms. Amen.

This is kinda awkward, but check out the post right above yours. Roger (the owner/builder of this vehicle) died from covid this year.

On a side note is there any way we can get a mod to lock this thread? Just a thought
