I don't see much difference between this grill and the Toyota OEM front bumper. The grill mesh is different, but appears to be less open to air flow ( a disadvantage). It's missing the center bar, Toyota logo, which some people may like. Especially the plasti-dip crowd.
The BP grill also needs to be painted to match, I presume, so there's added cost besides the part.
Why would you modify your front grill to add this?

The finished product doesn't look half bad, but hacking up my front bumper grill and using body filler between metal and plastic doesn't set well with me

Priced right

At $300 I believe that it's priced reasonably. Also I'm a fan of the logo-less build so I don't mind the "T O Y O T A" missing off the center piece. Also, It would look nicer if the mesh matched , above and below the horizontal center piece.

I looked at the install instructions but it seems like more work than I'm willing to do to save $300 over what the genuine PRO grill goes for on Ebay.

I'm hoping some other companies like Satoshi or grill craft come out with some reasonably priced grills.

Anyone else on the forum know if any other companies are stepping up to the 2014-2016 grill making game?

i stumbled across that before i decided to sell a kidney to buy the TRD grill, i may have gone with it if the lower grill piece matched, looks unfinished or something

My buddy has their Tacoma grill and the fit/finish is pretty outstanding.

Db Customz and Rigid both make reasonably priced grill inserts that allow you to mount lights. I don't see the benefit of the Bullet Proof Fabrication grill.

IDK that $350+ w/o lights is really reasonably priced for a flat piece of sheet metal with cutouts. These start at $120.

I also don't see the upper grill on DB Customz website. Just the lower grill.
