Bumper and other ?'s

What are my options for a well built rear bumper? Pics and prices would be nice! Also, I am currently running 285's on 17in fj's, spacer front and LC 9 wrap coils. I want to possibly go down to 265's on a 16in wheel or 15in wheel to get back in the power band of the 4.10 gears. If I go to the LC 7 wrap coils will I be ok, I do have a little nose down with the 9's. Thanks!

There are a ton of options. CBI and addicted off-road to name a few. Can you be a little more specific on what you are looking for?

Hey NCRunner, I've recently been checking out Outdoor Logic here in SoCal. The owner Jim is a cool guy. The only problem is, depending on your location, Outdoor Logic can only make you a rear bumper if you drop by their shop (I actually just read this on their website).

I'm not sure how helpful it is, but here's a link for pricing info at least: Outdoor Logic - Bumpers

Also, from what I've read and heard, CBI makes an awesome bumper, both front and rear: Toyota, Cbioffroadfab

Just looking for something that looks better than the factory junk and possibly a swing out tire carrier but those seem pricey. I have checked out CBI and like their bumpers but just looking for some other options. Any ideas on my lift? To swing out or not?

I think it's a personal preference as well as the type of wheeling you do. I'm not a huge off-roader, so having the spare off the underside of the rig isn't a big deal. I do like the looks of the tire on the rear, but I get in and out of the cargo space that I'm not sure I want the added move. We'll see.

You might keep the 9 wraps until you get your bumper. The LC's don't really hold up to load, so the bumper will definitely sag your rear end down from where it is now.

Tires and wheels

Hepar,
I thought about keep the 9's but I would really like to step down to a 15 or 16in wheels and something a little more compatable with my stock gearing(4.10).

If your runner came with 16's stock, you can only run 15's with modifications to the brake calipers, to the inner part of the rim or both. I'd say go to 16's with 265's if you want to get close to stock.

I would still do the wheel/tire change and the bumper change before changing your 9 wraps. After doing both, see where you stand and then make the decision.
