Well It's like this, got the skid in the mail and I could barely lift it, so I was thinking about all the added weight after adding the bumper might be a bad idea, Haper said don't be an idiot just put it on, so now I'm thinking PC, paint, can't decide so I painted it clear, I kinda like the look, but may paint it black later, not PC that stuff scratches, if you not careful, which is stupid

at any rate, I don't care about the weight anymore, about 80% on adding SC, may need to tap your knowledge

Are those things that heavy? I've read they're about 60lbs. Regarding the paint, I think the clearcoat over bare metal looks pretty good too. If it stands up to the elements, I might just leave it like that. Just glad to hear you did something with it.... I was thinking "RUST ALERT" when I first saw it.

Hey, so this is way off topic, but I notice you're in Reno? Do you like to fish at all? I only ask because you guys have Pyramid lake right there in your backyard and it has those big bad ass lahontan cutts in it. I went out there last year and fished it, was gonna go back this year, but I think I'm gonna try something new.

actually, when I received the skid I looked at their site to check the weight, I couldn't find anything, All I can say is it's more than 60lb and for sure it provides tons of protection

I don't fish but pyramid has a cult following, that fly fishing on the latter thing, very popular, lots of good fishing in the sierras
