Bumper compatibility

I have been looking for answers and I have not been able to find any yet. Can a bumper from a 2nd gen Tacoma be installed on a 4th gen 4Runner?

The physical aluminum bar that serves as the bumper under the skin? Probably.

The cosmetic bumper skin that goes over that? Probably not as it wouldn't match the fender cuts, shape of the vehicle, headlamp openings, ect ect.

I mean you could probably get it to fit and look good, but its not going to be a bolt-on affair.

I should have been more specific. Aftermarket bumpers, like ARB, CBI, etc. If they are close, then with minor welding/cutting I can make them work. I am looking for opportunity really, if I can find a used bumper from a Tacoma for cheap, you get the idea.

The gap between the body and fenders will probably be close, but different. I believe this question has been asked before a few time from FJ's to Tacomas and 3rd Gen bumpers.
