Bumper/Fender Well Separation

When I left the gym today and got back to my 4Runner I found someone hit my front passenger wheel well/bumper :yell: and caused some damage:

I used a wrench to try and cinch it back down:

However it popped right out again when I got home due to the break in the bumper. I am not even sure how someone could have caused this damage. Maybe backed into my bumper? Anyhow, I tried to bend the dent out and slide everything back but after driving it keeps popping out. I'm not the handiest of guys but I'd like to think I could tackle this without taking it in. Does anyone have any suggestions by chance?

Pull that side of the bumper off the truck. Look at the tabs on the bumper itself. They slide into the black retainer bolted to the fender. Sometimes they get bent and you need to help guide them back into the retainer.

Looks like the part of the fender liner which has a hole and connects to the clip is broken. May need to replace the fender liner to make it fit good again. The liner is cheap, but the clips which holds down the liner is one time use. So you’ll need to remove and replace all the liner clips when removing The liner.

Just push it back to where it's supposed to line up, drill a new hole and move the screw. It's all just plastic.
