That was exactly my thought when I came across it on e-bay.

Bump! I looked at this bar last night and have been looked at buying it all day. What does everyone think of it? The only down side I see is it doesnt have mounts for lightening. So I would have to drill for brackets. Yes I know I have a light obsession. :bigok: Let me know what you all think! Progess4m didnt get many hits.

Im probably going to get it once I get my lift on.

That looks like a pretty cool bar. I saw that when I was looking for mine, but I don't think it would look right on the '08's. I went w/ the Westin Safari Bar, it already has spots for lights. I got it for like $110, but then you have to buy the $45 mounting kit.

Awesome! I like $75 more than $110 too! :bigok: I think you'll like this one

I've been staring at the same one ($75) and the one that's a bull bar ($159). Both are good prices and include shipping. The bull bar would seem to offer more protection (+) but is stainless (-).

I think the eBay one will look better on the earlier year 4th gens.

EDIT:

Instead of drilling holes, I think I've seen some that the people mount the lights on top w/ a bracket. It kind of looks like a JAOS bar http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/grimpy/T4RPHASES/grimpy24.jpg

Thanks for the link Kwik. Your bull bar looks great. I looked at Jaos bar but money held me back. Looks good, but I couldnt pass up the $75 "Deal". I say deal hesitantly bc it may be a piece of crap when it arrives. Im gonna keep my fingers crossed though.

Just curios if anybody has one of those and if yes, how good are they:

Look exactly like a Go Rhino bar I had on my Blazer and it was it was a cheap POS. It took 1 hit from a sharp angle drive way and punched right through the rubber that wraps around the T shaped bar rail. The bar also bent and I couldn't wrap the rubber back on, had to cut it off. Don't do it. The only good bars for trucks are ones rated to push/pull.

Does this mount in the same holes as the OEM skid plate does?

Can you have both on their at once?

It looks like an awesome bar and a sweet deal.

Mounted

Got the push bar put on today. Looks pretty good, let me know what you think. It is pretty sturdy for only $75, but I plan to add more supports through the bottom grill. The down sides include: The bolts are all painted so the threads were slightly gummed up. The holes on the frame used for mounting are only 5/16, I plan to drill these out to get a larger bolt in. The 5/16 bolts didnt come with the bar. This resulted in having to buy grade 8 bolts from the local hardware store. Having said all that I did only pay $75 so I cant complain too much. Good bar, will be great once a few mods are done.

It came in pieces and took about 2 hrs to get on. This time also includes having to go to the store for bolts.

The side views aren't bad at all. What are your plans for it? Two more lights mounted on the bar? That would look awesome.
