I dont know. I would assume so if you are referring to the poser skids on the sports. The bar mounts on top of the frame instead of below it and utilizes the two front holes on the frame. I havent seen how the sport ed skids are mounted so someone else will have to answer this question based on what I have provided.

I couldnt make heads or tails of the instructions you sent me. I will have to take a pic for you of how the bar mounts bc I have no idea how the skid mounts. Note to that the brackets for the 05 and 06 are different and the seller must be made aware of this before purchase. I did notice that the instructions for the skid said for an 06 so idk if my pics will be of any use to you.
 

Just installed mine today and LOVE it! I also took off my running boards. Tomorrow I should have my sliders on.

skid plate?

Looks great to me. One question though...will this bar block the space that a skid plate might go? Don't have one, but looking at options right now. I'd like at least some protection to the bottom of the bumper and radiator. Not necessarily thinking of the OEM one, opinions of that seems pretty low. I'm looking at the Westin Ultimate Bull Bar... http://www.westinautomotive.com/pages/PRODUCT_BB_intro.html. Maybe a "skid plate" won't provide any protection anyway?

I have one of these from WAAG for the front and rear. It is excellent for keeping people from hitting your plastic bumper when parking. It won't help in a crash or when going at any higher speed.

I absolutely cannot believe this thing cost $75!!! Is it steel or plastic?? Thats unreal!

Could you do us ALL a favor as take some pics where it mounts below. Many of us are concerned about it interferring with the add on skid plate.

It would be much appreciated..

Yeah, I have a stock skid plate too.
On my 3rd gen I had a similar push bar and was able to fit the factory skid plate too. Took some work though.

Those two screws that are coming out of the bottom is how its held on. All it's being held on by are four (two on each side) screws. Very easy install.

Great write up Doug I had forgotten about it. For mounting lights I think i'm going to mount another tube towards the bottom of the push bar. So the lights will sit on each side of the front license plate. Here is an attempt to illistrate what im trying to say. What do you think?

It looks like there are more than just two bolts on the bottom holding that thing on. In fact, it looks like there are (3) bolts on each side holding it on.

By referring to this http://www.trdsparks.com/install/PT212-89070inst.pdf , can you tell if these are the same holes being used? This was for my Toyota add on skid plate install.

I suppose, I could overlap if I had to. What do you think?

Update

So far this cheap bar has held up to everything I have thrown at it. Last week it saved my front bumper from being chunked out while off road. It still needs added support brackets, but thus far I have been very happy with it.

I don't know why but i wasn't notified you had replied to this thread. So sorry for the delay. From the look of that write up, which doesn't have the best pictures, The look of the bracket you use the screws go in perpendicular to the car when my screws run parallel to the car. (By "car" i mean from front bumper to rear bumper). Know what I mean? I think you could be in luck and that they do not use the same holes.

Let me know if you got it to work.

4runr30, I too am very happy. The only thing that I have had a problem with is the rubber. Some of my rubber was ripped off while off roading. Other than that, LOVE it!
 

Also, that first picture i posted before is horrible. Here is another picture looking down from under the hood. This rubber flap is in the way and there is another screw behind that.
