Bumper Holding Leveling Kit - Help Needed

Hey everyone,

For xmas I got a weld together front bumper kit from NWTI.

Looking for recommendations for a leveling kit for the front that can hold the weight of a metal bumper, what would be the most cost effective way to level it out and have no issues holding that kind of weight?

Don't really want to lift too much, i'd prefer if the front was able to just level out with the back.

Let me know, ANY suggestions are MUCH appreciated!! You guys always come through for me here :typing:

I had Bilstien 5100 and OME 884 coils on mine with that bumper. Estimated 2" of front lift (with my V8), rode well (imo) with the extra weight. It was about 2" of lift for me, you might be closer to 2.5" with the V6 unless you add a winch

I wanted my lift back, so switched to OME 90000 and OME 885 springs. i.e., I have Bilstien 5100 and OME 884s (assembled) available for $120 obo conveniently located in Lynnwood =) ~15k on the shocks, ~40k on the springs

Do you know how much lift is needed to level out the front?

would 2" be too much?

I really don't want any lift at all, i just need to be able to A) level, and B) Carry the bumper.

You would likely need a little lift in the rear to level with this setup. If only trying to level/deal with the weight, your best option is prob. OME 883 on Bilstiens (or OME shocks) or FJ coils and bilstiens.

883 springs are the same spring rate as the 884 and 885 springs, just a little shorter.

FJ coils are shorter and softer, not sure how well they deal with the extra weight.

This is the 884s and a 1.5" rear spacer on my V8, 265/70 tires. I have a sideshot at home I can send if you want.

If you plan to go off-road, I would (personally) add a little lift so you can take advantage of the better approach angles your bumper offers. Plan ahead and do it right the first time will save money in the long run =)

Either of those shocks will work for the 883 springs. The 1.5" of lift is for no weight, the extra weight will likely drop it to closer to 1" for a more level look. If you are considering a winch, I would consider the 884 springs or the 883 and using the bilstien height adjustment later to set it where you want. Winch weight will take 1/4 or 1/2" of height off depending on which one you go with
