Bumper Sticker Question

I want to put a couple of bumper stickers on my 'Runner, but I would like to be able to pull them off cleanly. Any tips? I have heard a coat of wax between the bumper and the sticker will let the sticker come off cleanly. Any truth to that?

I guess I should clarify, I am looking to prep the bumper before application. I haven't applied the bumper sticker yet.

You try Goo Gone or Goof Off yet?

i tried this once on an Acura and the paint started to come off with it on the rag? is this normal, or was the paint just junk on the car?

as for prepping, why would you want to ruin the paint on your car with a bumper sticker? i would place on the window, IMO i would never place a sticker on any painted surface.

Put them on the window. Stickers leave residue when they are removed, so if it's on a window, you can use better products to remove the residue. You can also use a razor blade and slide it across the residue if it's on the window. On the paint, you are SOL.

:iagree: Depending how long you leave that 'Uneek for President' sticker on the paint it could cause uneven paint fade too.

I've seen it.

But if Falls and I ever follow behind you, we both know we had your support. It's like the lady in the "news flash" that tatooed herself. :D

But the most part, just apply a few coats of wax on the bumper and then slap on the "Uneek for President" sticker.
