Bumping sound from rear seats

Bought a 4runner, 98 Ltd, 6cyl, 67K, in January. I have this loose, bumping sound coming from my back seat whenever I hit a bump. It is like the rear seats are not latched, but they seem to be tight when I pull on the strap. The sound appears to come from the right back seat, close to the door, and sometimes it is on the left too. I looked for something loose, but there is not many parts it could be coming from.

Anybody have the same problem? ideas? fix?!

Well those seats on the 4th generations are known to cause squeaks. The easy common fix is to lube it, but someone had an interesting suggestion is to tape it up. So with that said, taping it up would make it thicker, and maybe will help or hinder: won't know till you try.

Do you know where I should tape? Is it under the seat? I am a master with duct tape.

LLPJ95It's the square loop of the latch on the RT rear seat.

It's the square loop part of the latch on the rt rear seat. I wrapped one of those spiral wire covers on mine and the chirp is gone! Several layersof tape should work fine. Dick13
