Bushwhacker Extend-A-Fender Flares

Ok ive been on the hunt for some flares for a while now, I just didn't want to pay 500+ for the OE toyota sport flares.

Yesterday a rock got slung up by my tire and busted out my passenger side mirror, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and get some flares.

Ive been looking all over the interwebs for some bushwhacker flares and the only ones I have found that fit are the extend a fender flares.

Only problem is that I cannot seem to find a place online that sells these flares, all I could find were the specs on bushwhackers site.

So where can I find a price for these flares online, and their site says they are 1.25" wide is this going to be enough, what are the specs on the OE toyota sport flares.

Had them on my 98 and they were a breeze to attach and toyota already had the holes pre-drilled to make installation a cinch.
I just couldnt attach the front bumper parts because of rubbing.
The are extend a flares are smaller than the limited flares. I would say just the right size for me anyways.

On the limited you have holes drilled on the front side of the panels opposed to under so you would have to use filler for the holes once removed. The rear door trim also is one piece w/ the cladding as well. I wanted to run w/ those instead but figured it was too much work and I didnt have enough skill myself...ha

i know i like those too but my baby needs new shoes(tires). body filler can fix those holes or i can just weld on some metal piece.

Those are the extend a fenders in my photo and more on my Facebook link. I also do not run the bumper extension pieces. I believe the coverage is 1.5" and yes it is pretty good coverage.

SR5 flares are 1.25" I believe.The Sport and Limited flares are 1.75" I think I have read. The only difference between Sport and Limited flares is the door cladding.

I got mine for something like $345 shipped from an online source whose name I can't seem to find. Shop around a bit and google "best price Bushwacker flares" and you will find several sellers that will match price and free shipping.

Personally I found them complicated to install and paid a body shop to do it for me and was glad I did. Rivets are used. The fronts are not that bad but the rears are labor intensive.

Good luck with that and it was one of the better investments I have made on my ride.

Get the Extend-a-Fenders! I have em and they look great. Here are some updated pics, and here's the thread I created when I got em. Pretty easy install too. Mine are color matched as well.

I love the look of those extend a fenders, i think im gonna do some shopping around and see if i cant find them cheaper wish i ha da credit card to just order em and make payments on them haha

New to the site, and challenged by technology, please forgive me if I have missed a thread on this subject in my search.
Just bought a 1999 T4R and am getting it up to speed.
Purchased the Bushwacker Extenda Fender Flares.
The Bushwacker installation instructions are not great to say the least. Can anyone provide me with, or direct me to some photos and further details on the rear flare install, specifically the portion that mounts to the rear door.

Just bought a 1999 T4R and am getting it up to speed.
Purchased the Bushwacker Extenda Fender Flares.

Welcome to the site. I did this recently and remember the rear door mounts being a little hard to figure out. The inner section mounts directly to the door with tek screws and the outer section mounts to the inner section with rivets. Hope these pictures help out.

How do you like them so far? I've been thinking about putting a set on my 99 sport. Already have oem fender, flares, and 3-D print mudflaps for the front. But I'm kind of thinking about the Bushwacker ones as maybe they have better clearance inside to run a bigger tire, perhaps. And it makes it so I don't have to shorten down my 4XI Rock sliders. I'm tired of tripping on them in my garage. I really need to get them installed.

How do they attach inside the wheel well? If you could get a photo of that, that would be super awesome! There's not much info out there on the 4runner bushwacker flares it seems like.

The number one reason I got them was attempt to stop my tires from trowing mud all over the side of my truck. My tires don't stick out much but it was pretty bad in the winter. I find it's made a worthwhile difference. They look decent but that wasn't a priority. I've scratched the hell out of them with branches on narrow trails and they're still mounted solid. The fronts attach using screws in seven or eight existing mounting holes and the rears use tek screws to mount to the bottom of the fender. The doors are the trickiest part like I described above.
