Busted my rear bumper and tail light. Any 3rd party upgrades to consider?

I figure this is the time to look at any options. Are there any rear light mods to consider or rear bumpers to check out?

As for light mods, I'd probably do tinted 06-09 tail lights and that's it.

There are a few good options for bumpers. It just depends on your budget and wants. CBI, 4xLabs, Relentless Fab are a few to check out.

Depending on what you are looking for I might check RockAuto. I am also about to sell my old black tail lights, that you can see in my avatar.

Someone hit & run the same parts on my 2000 4RNR during the DAY on New Years. Reported to the police and I'm paying about $150 total for both aftermarket 2002 (upgrade) tail lights and an aftermarket bumper extension. In 3rd gens there was a change in the lens style. Not so in the 4th. I always get both lights in case there is a slight fading of the old ones. Try looking through eBay. I'm not a fan of tinted lights. The only 4th gen tail light "upgrade" I could find is ugly IMO.

I would get a stronger bumper if insurance were paying. I have a $1000 deductible so I'm staying OEM. Good luck.

Northwest Trail Innovations will have a rear bumper kit for 4th gens. We're shooting for the next few months for release if you're interested in a diy weld together kit..
