Buying 08 4runner tonight, need advice

I have talked to about 20 dealers across the state and found a deal that I am happy with. About 24,500 drive out price on New SR5 with moon roof. I was wondering if this is what other people are paying or how does this price look with respect to what others are paying. I am also wondering what is the first mod I should make. I was either thinking of putting a brush guard on but does anyone else have any advice on how to make it different from every other cookie cutter 4runner.

Is it 4wd/2wd V8/V6?

As for mods, it totally depends what you are looking for. My first steps were to lift it, put A/T tires on and take off the running boards.

What model of the SR5?? I just bought a 2008 SR5 with the Sport Package and I paid right out $27,500 for mine. Mine has the moonroof, power seats and a couple of other goodies.

The first mods I would make it tint, a lift then new tires!

Be carefull about taking delivery in darkness. Many people, including a poster within the last 24 hours on this site, have been dismayed when the light of day revealed a suprise.

There is $4000 between MSRP and invoice, so you should get at least that much off before any rebates/cash incentives are applied.

Not enough information. Where do you live, what are you getting, 4X4, V6 etc. In Atlanta they are selling base 2WD with moonroof and V6 for $21,995 (Sandy Springs Toyota). You do not get 0% finacing and you don't get the $4,000 rebate, but you have to pay taxes on the $4,000. Here is a base car with moon roof on e-bay for $23,995, BUT they include 0%.

And here is another one, both in N.C.. This one is 4X4 for $27,415 and you get 0%. That is 0% for 60 months.

So, you deal could be great, or so so. The reason for me knowing the prices and the deals, is I have been looking and ended up buying a used on just last week.

Also, if that deals fall through, I really don't think the 2009's will be that much higher, especially if you wait till next year. One thing I like about the 2008 and the 2009, is even in the base model, you will get curtain air bag and side air bag. Good luck.

It was a v6, 2wd because most of my driving will be on the road, i didn't see the need for 4wd. I ended up buying it but I am picking it up tomorrow. There was a slight little ding in the edge of the door and they are replacing that because its a part they can take off and put another one on. If it doesn't look good they will take it back and cancel the sale. I didn't finance it because i would have had to pay 4000 extra so i just bought it with cash. I'll post some pictures of any mods I do coming up, first will be a brush guard and some lights and maybe more coming after that. Thanks for all the advice. I was a 95 4runner owner and very happy so I can't wait to drive this one.

And by the way, sandy springs dealers are prob the most annoying dealers you can buy from. They called us about 6 times and weren't helpful at all and couldn't get us the best price.
