Buying a '98-'01 4Runner, any issues I should be aware of?

I've been without a 4Runner for two years and can't stand it any longer. I'm selling my '01 Avalon an going back to a 4WD 4Runner... After doing a little research and talking to a buddy who is a dealer, it looks like I'll be in the price range for a 1998-2001 4Runner. Are there any issues with these model years I should be aware of? Is one model year desired over another, besides the obvious newer is usually better....

The big ones for me when I left my '97 behind were the cupholder relocation,multi power outlets up front and one in the back,auto up/down on both front windows and of course the better headlamps and built in fogs.
