I found the exact 4runner I want with all my options at another dealership. HOWEVER, the sales person told me today right up front that it has a hail mark on top of it. He said it is very small and can barely be seen and that they can fix it without having to paint. I can get it under invoice if I want to buy it, should I do it? I would assume since it won't be reported to insurance it won't show up on carfax would it? I need input ASAP because I might pull the trigger this weekend. Should I buy or run the hell away from this deal?

Buy but for lower price I'm thinking.
Not a whole lot lower. Its really not a big deal. Just inspect everywhere on it. If its got what you want, I say go for it.

The guy is straight up with me, without me asking he sent me the msrp and invoice breakdown for every option. Even sent me the holdback figure and the Toyota finance dealer incentive numbers. All of which match up with my consumer reports numbers. They are going to sell it to me for invoice minus holdback, advertising fee, and Toyota finance incentive. That gets me to about $1k below invoice.

Make sure you inspect entire body. Sometime it might be difficult to see all the dents. It cost ~$70 to repair a single dent so I'm surprised that dealership is going to dive 1K below the invoice.
Nevertheless, when I was repairing my Honda from a hail damage, the original quote from a body shop has been doubled when Dent Wizard started actual repair. You never know how much damage you have unless a 'pro' starts counting all the dents.

Toyota's stance on paintless dent repair is that they do NOT recommend it. My manager went to some Toyota training a while back, and one of the things they talked about was PDR. They had a car there with some small hail dents/door dings, and a PDR tech who worked them out in front of everyone. The car looked great, and you couldn't tell there was any damage on the car with the naked eye...
They had some special magnifying glass that people could inspect the car with, and there were small micro cracks in the paint.
That being said, I have been working in a body shop for the last 13 years, and I have seen a LOT of PDR being done, and I have never seen a car come back with rust or other paint issues because of paintless dent repair.
Just thought I would give you a little more information to help you decide. If I was in your shoes, I would live with the dent in the roof that you will probably never see, and maybe negotiate a couple dealer options into the package.

Quick update, I went today to see the vehicle for the first time. I had to look very hard, but noticed about 7 to 10 total hail marks. The only way they were visible was for me to look at the right angle in the sun light to see them. They are all very minor but there nonetheless. I'm not sure what to do now. Do I ask them to go even lower, do I forget about it all together and pay a higher price for one without marks, or what? Anybody have a suggestion?

I figured there had to be more dents. I have never seen a hail damaged vehicle with only one dent. If you can live with the dents then go for it. If not find anther 4runner.

I'd ask them to go lower. I bet they are telling people because they had to file insurance to get the repair money, or because if you look it over closely you'd notice anyway.
Either the anticipated Toyota shortages will get rid of it for them no matter, or it will end up being one of those dud vehicles a dealership can't seem to get rid of.
