buying an '00 4Runner - some noob questions

A buddy of mine is buying a 2000 4 Runner.
He wants to mod it lightly, but for specific reasons. He wont' be off-roading it much. But he's buying it primarily to tow a boat.

What are some fairly simple bolt-ons that will increase HP/Torque to help with his towing. Since fuel economy will seriously be compromised towing, what mods can help on this front as well.

Search on here for the deck plate mod, or the intake silencer mod. Both are cheap and increase HP. There are few companies that make headers and a few more that make exhuasts. Those would be a good start. I don't anyone that has tried it but, the grounding kits seem to help the Imports, shouldn't hurt on our cars either.

nothing but the toyota trd supercharger will increase horsepower dramatically. even the deckplate mod, etc, will only up it a few hp's, nothing too noticeable.
