Buzzing noise when trying to engage into 4WD

OK, the other night it was starting to snow really hard so I turn the knob to 4WD H and it did not lock but keep buzzing and the 4WD light keep flashing??? then I turn it off and try it again and it work with no buzzing?? what was that buzzing noise I was hearing?? I was going about 65 mph when I try to engage it. then I slow down to about 55 mph and try it again and it work. was the buzzing noise telling me that I'm going to fast to engage 4WD??

Most 2wd to 4wd on the fly switch systems work below 100KM/h or 62 MPH, so just slow down as you found out.

Yeah if you look at your sunvisor there are instructions for going into different drive modes. It suggests you don't switch above 62mph.

The beeping you heard was just the indicator that it didn't go into the mode you wanted.
