buzzing on startup and braking

I recently puchased an '04 4runner - it's great - but, I have recently heard a buzzing noise each time I initially start up the vehicle. This will last about 30 sec. - 1 min. Then it will sometimes happen when I brake at an intersection, but not always. The brake pedal doesn't seem to be engaged in ABS as it seems to depress normally.

-Would this be a normal thing for ABS?

-Should I be concerned about the buzzing?

It has an electric motor for the brake booster. You may be feeling that cycle on and off. I notice mine especially at startup.
