The hitch: it's not rated? What does that mean? It's just "riveted" on, not functional as the original?

Read it a little more carefully. The receiver maintains OEM towing capacity. They don’t rate whatever hitch because who knows what hitch someone is going to slap in there.

Which latch design will you be using on the dual swing out design? I like the look of that wedge design with the derlin pads in it

The dual swing uses the same compression style latch, but it does not use the Delrin wedges. The dual swing is still an incredibly strong and wiggle free setup though.
The way we designed it the left gate closes first and pushes up against the bumper with rubber bumper pads in between, then the right gate closes and overlaps the left gate with rubber bumpers in between. The large compression latch clamps down both gates tight to the bumper at the bottom. There is another smaller latch about halfway up that latches the gates to one another with a row of rubber bump pads in between.
The way we designed the right gate to overlap the left gate and then clamp together has proven to be an extremely sturdy design. It cuts down a ton of wiggle once the gates are locked to one another.

Any incentives for people part of the Pelfrey scandal...? A lot of people are reordering because of the incident.

We do not have any specific "incentives", we have already had quite a few former pelfrey customers order this rear bumper during our pre-sale we had and they got free shipping. The pre sale is now over and we do not plan to have any other deals for the first run of bumpers we are building.

Haha "riveted on", the hitch is completely functional and it bolts to the frame in the same location as the original hitch using the same 6 bolts. What the term "not officially rated" means is that we do not have the equipment or a facility to test what the actual load rating is so that the hitch can be stamped with an official rating. However we have no doubt that our hitch is just as strong as the original.

Here is a rendering of the options

So is the 1st one in the 3rd row basically the "half swing" you have on the website? I was looking at it but didn't see the option for a backup camera relocation kit. Is that not available or not needed?
I'm interested in that one for what I have going on right now, but could a second swing be added at a later date if things change?

Correct, that one is the half swing. We do not have an option for backup camera relocation since the camera would be mounted really far off center if we added it to the half swing, also most of the camera's view is unblocked when the half swing is added.
A second swing cannot be added later.

So the pics on the site are a dual swing with drivers side removed? Looks like the camera would be totally blocked, but maybe just the picture angle. Also, is the camp table larger on the full swing compared to dual/half swing?
Getting pretty interested in a rear bumper since I got rear ended recently and mine looks slightly worse than it did after my Moab trip last year.
