Quick question. Feel free to pm if necessary. Why don't you guys weld the step plates anymore?

The main reason we don't weld them on is for painting purposes. The way the step plates are designed makes it really hard for paint or powder coat to get in under the plates. It would end up causing rust issues on a lot of sliders around the edge of the plates.

Count me in for a 4th gen sliders. I do have xreas that I'm getting rid of should I be OK getting the sliders ? Whats the issue with the xreas models?

Yeah you will be fine if you are removing the XREAS. The issue is that the XREAS hydraulic lines and pumps run along the side of the frame rail and interfere with all of the mounting locations for the sliders.
