Personally I like the silver screws. It helps set the sliders apparently from every other slider out there . I see the screws and instantly think to myself those are c4's. I think they look cool

The screw size is 10-24. We have searched for black screws in the past that would work well and hold up to the weather and had no luck. Let us know what you find.

Have you guys tried the black oxide stainless steel ones? Just curious because that's what I was looking into getting.

Got the sliders installed, wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Just some screws from the skid plate and the brake lines. Even got to test them out afterwards and it seems they do a decent job at preventing kick up also.

Good to know they really slow the rocks and pebbles getting slung up, one of the main reasons I wanted sliders with step plates!

I went with a flat black on the slider and a semigloss texture on the step plates. I think they came out really good. I was expecting to see more posts on the show off your c4 rock sliders thread with this group buy to see if anyone came up with some cool or interesting paint, powder coating, etc but haven't seen anything yet.

I didn't know black oxide existed for stainless screws. Those would be a good option as long as you make sure to get stainless. The alloy steel black oxide will rust right away.

I'm going to order a few and try them out on my Tacoma and FJ sliders. These will work great as replacement screws to use for installing the step plates after everything is powder coated. For us they will still not work for the initial step plate installation. We use thread cutting screws so that we do not have to tap threads into every hole by hand. Thread cutting screws are limited to the finishes and styles that are available.

We do like the look of the color off set from the screws as well, but they will eventually rust when the zinc coating wears off. Stainless steel replacement screws would be a good option if you want to keep the color off set and prevent rust.

Definitely going to try something unique....however.....I think that by the time I receive them......my scheme will surface through another member with the same idea. I am pretty far down on the list, so it's only logical that this will be attempted.

We are finally getting a steady roll going on these GB sliders. We are waiting on the laser cut tube parts to be delivered the end of this week, but we can still build the sliders using the parts we make here in the tube notcher.
Here is a photo of some we have gotten done this week already. These should all be shipped out this week. There are 8 sets finished up in this pic.
