Just as a reminder, I will be on vacation the week of July 4th, so if you need to put someone in front of me to make sure they don't get delivered that week that is fine. Anything other than this week should work for me right now.

We had three people back out, but also had 5 full retail orders within the same week after the GB closed, so we are busy trying to fill those orders at the same time as the GB orders. Unfortunately we cannot let you "take someone else's spot" on the list. We had already turned down 3 others who tried to join the GB after it was officially closed, so it would be unfair to let you join now. Sorry we cant make it work out.

Slider design updates.

Alright guys, we had told everyone at the beginning of the GB that we were planning to add some mounting plates that wrap under the frame rail for more strength and also add a larger frame plate and more gussets to the KDSS sliders on the driver side. Here are some photos of what we have added.

Frame mounting plates now wrap around by the fuel tank area on both sides of the 4runner. Removing the fuel tank mounting strap is not required, however you will need to take the three bolts out that hold the factory fuel tank cover in place so that the slider can bolt up to the frame properly. Fuel tank cover gets bolted back into place on top of the slider mounting plate.

KDSS sliders are shown in the photos, but all models will have the full wrap around plates and the front plate that attaches to the trans cross member.

Here are a couple more shots showing the front lower frame plate that attaches to the trans cross member. There are already threaded holes in place on the driver side. For the passenger side we send two 3/8"x1" thread cutting screws. Customer will need to drill two 5/16" holes to thread the screws into.

You can also see the added gussets to the front leg on the KDSS sliders.

We will be providing longer bolts for those three holes to make sure no one has an issue if they are also using an aftermarket fuel tank skid. And thanks for the great comments, we appreciate the positive feedback and cant wait to hear everyone's first hand comments and experience with the product!

Can you clarify the need for drilling into the crossmember? One of the main reasons I'm super keen on these sliders is the whole "no drilling or welding required" bit

It really is not necessary to drill the two holes on the passenger side cross member. The sliders will be strong enough without it. The main reason we did that was to add strength to the driver side front mounting plate for the KDSS equipped 4runners. Naturally because of my OCD and need for symmetry, i added the plate to the passenger side also.

I personally was happy to see the post on the improvements to make the install more durable. Is it optional to drill into the crossmember?

For those who do not use the sliders real heavily, its fine to not even drill the holes and install the bolts on the passenger side.

Yes we will be updating this week. As of now there are 12 sets complete, 8 of those are at powder coat right now and the other 4 just got attached to pallets to ship out this week. The powder coated ones should ship by the end of the week sometime also.
