Bumper arrives tomorrow! Then off to Commerce City for the coating. Q, thanks for posting the pictures of your results from the shop. Looks really good even though you had to switch horses mid-stream after the fender bender. Can't wait to see mine on my truck too!

Yes, BK59. I think its perfect especially driving here in CO when they drop gravel on the roads. Been through the mountains a few times since I've had the bumper on and its definitely take some hits already but its holding up well!

Awesome, good advice for sure.
I got my package yesterday and it's currently sitting in the back of the truck. Hopefully I can leave work a little early and drop it off this afternoon at the P.C. shop.
The only thing I'm still debating is whether I should go silver, to kinda sorta match the bumper valence it's replacing, or if I should just stick with black. I haven't found any other examples of a silver lopro style bumper on a Red 4runner.
Thoughts?
Anyway, here are some pics of the bumper itself:

I have MGM, but I had been considering the same idea. I was considering clear coat just to highlight the workmanship, the industrial character, etc. Something about the rainbow of colours that the heat leaves behind appeals to me. Anyway, while I ultiamtely decided that it wouldn't look good with MGM, I think your Red has real potential with a silver coat. It would definitely set it apart from the rest!

You can probably guess my answer on this one based on what I've done with mine... lol I say be different and live a little and go with the silver/grey powder coat. He does have some colors that could match pretty close to the valence it will be replacing. I would try to stick with texture and make sure you get one with either C or T in the paint code for the extra strength and durability. Let us know what you decide to do and definitely post some pictures!

Nothing, just drop it off at your convenience and let Greg know Q sent you. Should be $150 for the bumper.

I used my floor jack with a piece of wood on it to lift the bumper in place. Then my room mate held it there while I got some bolts finger tightened in place.
With the winch and light on there it is really heavy and hard to lift up otherwise.
I also had some jackstands ready to go in case we needed them but the floor jack was fine as long as someone was stabilizing the bumper.
Here are some pics of my bumper installed! Got the winch all wired up but ran out of day light last Saturday and still need to get the light bar wired. Hopefully I'll get that working sometime this week.

Finally got over there on my way to work yesterday. Now I have a couple of weeks to settle on suspension, winch, and toggle switch options. Of course C4 switching up their winch offerings has me wondering if Smittybilt is still the way to go. What did everyone here do?
Just for anyone wondering I dropped off a addicted hybrid front bumper on Thursday. Greg was very nice and quoted me $200 for the bumper with a lead time of 2 weeks or less. Can’t wait to pick it up! Not sure if it’s the cheapest place in town but it’s close to my work and everyone seems very happy with there work so I went for it.
