Also, depending on timing as to when everyone will get their bumpers I may have to get my coated sooner if the wait on some of the bumper gets pushed back to December. I'm leaving for a road trip on December 8th and will be on the road for 3 weeks so everything has to be on the car before then but I will work with the powder coater to secure a pricing for us. I think I can lock in the price of 170 which is only $20 more than what we would be saving if we got them all done at once. That said, if the rest of you guys are willing to wait for everyone else to get their bumper, I'm sure he'll honor the discount price as long as there are 5 of you. I'm hoping the bumpers will be delivered around the same time but in case it doesn't, I'll work with the powder coater to secure a price for you guys.

This definitely looks like a quality product. I do like the textured black. That would be my personal choice. It will be a challenge for me to make timing work, so we will have to see. I personally like the textured black better than the gloss. I also think the gloss is going to show marks and stains more so than the textured black. Below is a close up of the 2 under some lighting so you can see the difference. The gloss does have a glare when light hits where as the textured doesn't.

My vote would be for T241-BK59.

EDIT: I want to also mention that the feel between the 2 is hardly noticeable when you touch it. The textured black is definitely not as rough as what bedliner would feel like. Its actually rather smooth surprisingly.

Also, flexible on timing, assuming we’re not talking too many months.

Seems like every agrees on the textured powder coating. He did say the texture coating will hide marks scratches and scuffs much better than going with something flat or gloss.

I have a roof rack that was sprayed with bedliner that I am bringing to get sandblasted and powdered coated. It will be using the same paint code as the one we will be using on the bumper so I will post some close up pictures of it once I get the rack back.

I'll talk to him then about securing a price for the rest of you guys. I don't expect the cost to be no more than $170 in the event that everyone can't drop the bumpers off at the same time but lets hope time works for everyone and we can get it done for $150! But with the news of C4 losing 2 welders, that does have me a bit concerned in regards to timing and as I stated in a previous post, I am on the road December 8th so hopefully everyone will have theirs by then.

However, we'll play it by ear so please keep us all updated with your order status if and when you get one from C4.

Also, I dropped off my roof rack and ladder this morning to get it powdered coated in the same paint as the one we'll be using on the bumper so I will post pictures of it once I get it back from the powder coater and give you guys my thoughts on the quality.

Also, as you guys may have seen, C4 updated us on the status of the bumpers and what I got out of it is it looks like some people may not see their bumpers until December or even later since it doesn't sound like they started on any of them yet. Since I am one of the ones at the top, we can gauge when the rest will get their bumpers depending on when I get mine. I believe there was about 90 participants on the group buy so unless they are cranking out 15-20 bumpers a week, I don't see them fulfilling all the orders before the end of the year taking into consideration that they will be taking time off for the holidays and if that is the case, I will have to get my powder coated sooner than everyone. If anything, I may have to pay a little more to get mine done which is fine but if that ends up being the case, I'll secure the discounted price for you guys. I'll speak to him more about the details on when I pick up my roof rack. Until we hear more from C4, this is more or less just a heads up and nothing definitively at the moment.

Lastly, when we get closer to getting the bumpers, I'll have everyone message me their phone number and email address so I can include you on the email to powder coater so everyone is on the same page and this way, you can email him if you have any questions.

The pricing I got was for the C4 lo pro bumpers so I don't know if he'll extend that price to the bumper you have since it is a full replace and bigger than the C4 bumper. As for the roof rack, is it raw? Or are you looking to get it re powdered coated? He quoted me $220 for my roof rack plus cost for sandblasting off the bedliner which is $120 an hour in 5 minute increments.

UPDATE: Alright guys a couple of updates. I picked up my roof rack today from Colorado Powder Coating and I could not be any more happier with the results! I did have to pay the hourly rate for sandblasting on the roof rack and ladder but it was money well spent. It would of taken me a few hours to remove the bedliner from the rack and who knows how long it would of taken me to remove the original powder coat on the Gobi ladder. My roof rack was custom and the Gobi ladder was rubbing on the back of the rack so I had to grind the lip on the ladder and it was chipping in some places as well. They would of needed to sandblast it either way in order for the powder coat to stick so I figured I’d let them do it and it was definitely the right decision to do so as it only took them an hour to strip the rack, sunroof insert, crossbars, ladder and all the brackets.

I was about a good 30 feet away when saw this and it immediately put a smile on my face!

Now on the good news! After talking to Greg (owner), he has agreed to powder coat the C4 bumpers for us at $150 each straight up!!! What that means is when you get your bumper, you can drop it to him at your convenience and he will powder coat it for $150 so you don't have to wait for others to drop theirs off!

A few things he wanted me to pass on to you guys.

• He accepts Cash or Checks ONLY, NO CREDIT CARDS!

• Don't expect a 2-3 day turn around. Give him 5-7 business days as he is giving us quite a discount on some top quality work.

• Leave him a google review. Be honest!

Also, for those of you in Colorado lurking on this thread, he also said he would do bigger bumpers for $170. I believe the Addicted bumper that [MENTION=72511]thor999[/MENTION] dropped off is for a 3rd gen bumper. I'm not sure which one exactly but I believe he charged $170 for it due to the hoop. It may cost a little be more depending on how many hoops you have since the hoops and tubes use more powder than flat surfaces. Just mention my name when you talk to him or message me and let me know ahead of time and I can give him the heads up that you are dropping it off. I can always give you his email address and you can hash out the details with him directly. Again, just mentioned my name and he should honor the price. And no, I am not getting anything out of this. Just trying to give a local shop some business while hooking up fellow forum members!

I was hesitant about going with a texture paint at first but now seeing it first hand, I think textured is going to be much better than a gloss/semi-gloss or a flat black paint. From a distant it looks like it is looks smooth but when you up close, only then can you really see the texture. Not sure you are located but I can always meet you up somewhere and let you check out the rack or you can always look at his sample book when you drop off your bumper.

Right on man! Like I said, I don't think you will be disappointed. What paint code did you go with? As for my rack, when I saw it as I was walking it up, it was one of those "feel good" moments on the inside. Seriously felt like a little kid at Christmas when I saw how good it looked. Could not smiling! And to think I thought bedliner looked good... What the hell am I smoking... oh wait.. :smokin: haha

No worries man. Glad I am able to help you guys out. As for the accident, shit happens but I got it all taken care of. My full replacement bumper should be here next week or the following week so i'm excited for that!
