Cabin air filter in 3rd gens?

FWIW, I got one of the flat style "Tommy Filters" off Facebook, and i had it installed for about a month before I removed it. It seemed to cut down air flow by half, which was pretty rough in the 100*+ heat of summer.

It seemed to work well though, construction was good. Just couldn't deal with the lower airflow in the summer.

Yep, depending on the media but it does cut the airflow by about half, so it's a tradeoff. I took some measurements here:

Yep I remember reading that thread! That's actually what gave me the confirmation on the lack of airflow, leading me to uninstall it.

Thanks for all the work you do here, I know a lot of us really appreciate it.

Found One

I just found one on ebay. The guy 3D Prints them in the US. Its just the plastic frame......you still need to buy the filter media, but can probably get a home HVAC filter from Re-Store for a few bucks, that will cut to make 6-10 filters. About $24 after shipping.

I got the BB Studios one and ended up breaking it trying to unscrew it to change out media. Really could have used it on our last trip.
So I just pulled the trigger on the one from eBay (scarletpimp).

I'm tempted to stuff HVAC media down the fresh air inlet under the wiper cowl at this point. And add the 'No More Mice' screen while I'm in there....
