Cabin Air Filter Mod

Has anyone ever attempted a cabin air filter mod for our trucks? I was discussing with my friend the other day how our trucks get so dusty despite the windows being rolled up!
We surmised that it must be from the dusty road between our houses that causes dust to be pulled into the HVAC system and blown into the vehicle?

So I was thinking, has anyone thought about this or even tried to make one?

I know there have been threads on this topic before. I swear I once read about someone who cut a filter out and got it up in there somewhere, but I've never been able to find that thread again.

I too would love this as it's pretty dusty out here in the central California valley. Between the drought conditions and the agricultural harvest season starting up, the Central Valley is turning into a dust-bowl. The dirt is so dry that when the tractors kick it up into the air — it just hangs like a fog. Every morning I get up to a fresh coating of dust over my truck. Of course this stuff makes inside as well.

I'm not particular or prissy when it comes to my truck, but I hate breathing that crap in all the time and it does get tiring always seeing a bunch of dust on the gauges.

If you figure out how to set up a cabin air filter — be sure to let us know the details!

Someone did it on a Taco, but not sure how similar it would be on the 3G T4R: 95-04 Tacoma Cabin Air Filter - TTORA Forum

Somebody on here installed a dome light/cabin filter from a Hilux or Surf. I can't find the post at the moment. But it was offered several Toyota models and is almost plug and play. I think it was called the CleanAce system?
