Cable running to trans question?

I have done a couple searches, and I cannot figure this out. I recently had the motor and tranny out of my truck. 99 2wd runner with v6 automatic. There are two cables on the throttle body, one is obviously the throttle cable, the other goes to the tranny. I tugged on it a bit to get it in place back on the throttle body, and now it will not go back in. It has a ton of slack in it and will not move. I have not driven it yet as I am still finishing it up, but it worries me. What do I do with it? I tried taking the housing off where it goes into the trans with no luck. Is this for the kick down or what? Thanks for your time.

so did it come unhooked in the transmission? If so is there a writeup on this somewhere I can look at? It pulled out freely, like to easy, but now it wont move out or in. This damn thing is killing me. Its the little things that kill. I think that is a song lol.
