California DEMO VEHICLE needed to design a Roof Mounting system for LED Bars

hey guys, so a few guys have shown interest in finding a mounting system for LED light bars, to go to our roofs right above the windshield. There have been a few guys on TW do it, and i contacted one about it. He's in SoCal: Glendale, CA and says if he can get a donor vehicle to take measurements, he would be happy to make some mounting systems for our rigs. I've attached the link to his thread on TW if you'd like to see his work. So all you Cali guys, this is your chance to get in on the process and help us Southerners out:frog:

Yeah it looks great. But to answer your question, that is why he wants someone to stop by his shop, so that he can take measurements and make sure it will work!

Yes, if the design does work out and he makes them, there will be a price individually, or if a group but is setup, all we need is 5 people interested as he is willing to lower the price some. Will PM you details, as it is not my product and so if the numbers do change a bit, don't wanna be held responsible for pricing issues.

He decided he could make a run for us since nothing is available in the market for something like this. He's doing it out of interest and honestly just helping us out haha

So one of our members, [MENTION=92283]Int[/MENTION] went by there late last week. Apparently there are no mounting holes IN FRONT OF the factory rack, and they had some real issues removing his to try to find some underneath those coverings. Here is part of the message he sent me afterwards. Is anyone aware of the easy way to remove the factory rack?

"He wants, if possible, to have them have the racks already taken off prior to the measurements. If someone can do it at home, then go there, then it'll work as he just needs to find the factory holes, if there are any. I wonder if you can fit the bar underneath the rack, or if he is going to go that route. Just keep talking with him to see what you guys can do."

The main obstacle and goal I think he wants to figure out is how he is going to mount the bar if he builds one. He wants to use factory holes, and we know there are the ones for the roof rack, and he couldn't find any in front of those mounts, so he wants to see if there is a way he could build one (unsure of revised look, could be just like the taco ones posted or something more similar to the FJ setup), so that it mounts into factory holes, because obviously drilling into part of the top of the windshield mounts would be an electrical and structural hazard.
