I've thought about this as well, would just need to fabricate some brackets to hold it steady up there, as it would jar around alot from wind and bumpy roads haha

I DO NOT want to undercut the guy in California doing this but if someone in the southeast wanted to come to me in NW Florida I'd be happy to check this out. Just bear in mind there are batrillions of LED bars out there right now and as [MENTION=165]momo.75[/MENTION] has recently discovered the mounts can be pretty different.

This pretty much fell through. I think the issue with the 4Runners is that the front mounting location for the roof rack is so far back, it would make it hard to make brackets that long to put the light bar over the windshield, like on the Taco. I'll show you what i am talking about when you come up to Birmingham.

my immediate thought on that problem was a "hoop" of sorts, reaching forwards from the front rack mounts and around the sunroof. not sure exactly how it would look but i think if left tight to the roof it would blend pretty well?

i'll think about it some. to me it would fall into the same category as headache racks on trucks with lights on them; some people like them, some dont, but if you want lights without drilling holes in your roof, what can you do?

Where in NW Florida? I'm in Port St. Joe a lot. What about just some tabs mounting to the pillar with two screws? like this one but not so raw.

That is very similar to the current mounts available for Tacomas and most fords, only the brackets face up more to keep the LED out of the actual windshield and more so directly above the top edge

I'll definitely have to look into it. Your bracket for the rack looks real good too. Do you have any problems with vibration or bouncing when you go over bumps?
