California Mods...

Hey there! I was wondering if anyone that lives in California has ever done the deckplate and ISR mods and run into problems with getting their car to pass smog! Anyone else know anything about this?

deck plate shouldn't be a big deal, ISR? i've not heard of that, so i can't help you there. biggest thing is just to find a place that is more interested in the numbers the truck puts out than how it got there. Biggest thing is stay away from mods that stand out. Or of course be prepared for all of the problems that go w/ it.

Im pretty sure they will fail you on the visual. If you have modded the intake without a carb sticker...you're gonna fail at least with the deckplate. The ISR you may get away with depending on how clean you do it

my IS passed w/ the stock airbox, but a polished aluminum pipe between the airbox and throttle body. Never asked about it or asked if it had a carb number. biggest thing you can't change is the MAF housing itself, once you change that they will question it.

I had ZERO problems with my deckplate in San Diego. I even forgot to close it up...
