California Smog Check

Hello, I have to smog my '86 TR4 Turbo, everything looks good NO check engine light, O2 sensor looks new, Egr seems ok. Should I lower the idle and thin out the fuel mixture just to make sure it passes the first time? Smog checks cost around $60 each time out here, and if it fails it's a night mare.

Fuel mix is ECM controlled, how would you "thin it out" ?

adjusting screw on the air cleaner, I read it adjusts the position of the flap, turn counter clock wise leans the mix by allowing more air in relation to fuel injected. Anyone know if this is true?
