California vehicle lic. fee?

Does anyone know what the current vehicle lic. fee is in CA? I'm assuming it's a percentage of the vehicle purchase price ....?

Yes, it is a percentage and when I bought my truck last year I found it listed on the DMV web site.

I was on CA DMV and it doesn't quantify the fee? Do you recall the percentage?

.65% in the first year .. that's the new rate as of 1/1/2005. Looks like I paid a bit more.
