caliper leaking brake fluid

Hi, I was changing my pads and rotors on my 2000 4Runner limited. I should have looked for this site before I attempted the maintenance but in my infinite wisdom I did the job. I had trouble getting one of the 17mm bolts loose on the caliper so I loosed the other smaller bolts that hold the caliper together. When brake fluid started to drip out I knew I was in trouble. Anyway I tightened them back up but now I have a leak. Is there anything special I need to do to fix this?

I went ahead and changed the pads and rotors, it was pretty simple. I wouldn't have had any trouble if I would have joined this site before I did the work. Oh well.

There are 'O' rings that seal the fluid passages between the two sides of the caliper. You probably disturbed one of more of them when you loosened the bolts holding the two sides of the caliper together. At this point, you will probably have to dismantle the caliper, and replace these 'O' rings, or get a replacement caliper.
