I'm rather surprised at the title--you would think the Tom Clancy Ghost Recon people would be up in arms about them using "Ghosts" so prominently.
 
I'll be all over this game. I'm a 6th prestige on Black Ops 2 with only 2k kills not using a sniper rifle. You could say I'm pretty good haha. The special camo that you get for pre-ordering COD Ghosts is sickkkk

I love playing COD, however I'm terrible, I just recently hit level 55 on Black Ops II and have no deisre to prestige.

It's a waste of time really... I completed the third prestige and stopped and probably wouldn't do it again. I don't buy the battle packs or skins or anything either, especially when you can almost guarantee there will be a new game out every year.

I won't claim to be good, but I'm effective. I've only come across 1 person with more wins, which is my main focus. Plenty of people have more kills though. :madgrin:
 
I like COD, though I haven't had time to play in a while (Xbox gamertag: Taekwondo Dude) COD occasionally pisses me off though with minor changes from game to game. Like MW2 to Black Ops 1, why the heo would I spend $60 bucks to get RC cars as a kill streak? If you're gonna release a new title to the game, it better stand apart from the rest. Just my opinion.

I'm much more excited about Battlefield 4 to be honest.
 
COD, IMHO is the worst piece of shit in the FPS realm right now. Every game in that series, after MW1 (or COD4 really) has been recycled and reused content and boring to boot. However, what really pisses me off, is that companies (err publishers rather) push for "2" or "3", when a simple map pack is really all they changed; but whatever most will just be okay with paying another $60 for shit. That said, Activision, RUINS developers and I like to speak with my wallet.

Feel free to :target:, I can handle a nice civil discussion on the topic. There are plenty other great games out there and you can spend that money (or none if you choose on F2P games like "Heros and Generals") on less mass produced garbage, that gives much more enjoyment, and offers much better competition.

However, for $60 ARMA II is where it's at for the FPS to beat this year. BF4, while good should have been another map pack too.

Anyways, sorry for venting, COD always gets me worked up and I'm not working today lol. :focus:

I think it comes down to what you want out of the game. For me its PVP in a well-populated FPS game on a console that doesn't require a lot of my time to just jump into. For that, the CoD series serves my purpose. I'm not into big story lines, don't like long queues, and don't want to have to grind out hours on end just to get a fair shake in a pvp game.

Granted, there are inherent issues with most games and intricacies that you either appreciate or loathe. CoD is no exception and I'm not particularly fond of the map packs or micro-transactions they try to introduce between titles.

I do, however, welcome new titles though. BO2 had enough new stuff to intrigue me and Ghosts will be entirely redesigned to work with the new platforms due out later this year.

I'm not trying to convince you or anything... just saying it depends on what you want to get out of it.

Oh I wasn't/aren't either. I just. find.. it... hard to not hold back when someone mentions that game. You didn't mention console before, or if you did I didn't read it, which I guess reduces the choices I mentioned earlier.

Speaking of consoles, have you seen anything on Destiny (Bungies semi-new IP)? Worth a look imo. Clicky

Yeah sorry - I seem to forget about the rest of the FPS crowd on PC. I used to do the hardcore PC gaming thing but not anymore. I poured a lot of hours into WoW (BC -> Cata), Crysis + Crysis 2, and SWToR and probably wont get to that level of gaming ever again, and it's probably a good thing. I stopped cold turkey after SWToR flopped, got rid of my Sager, and picked up a PS3 to replace a retired PS2. I have been playing more BO2 than I originally planned but mostly to keep my mind occupied while awaiting the upcoming move. That's one thing I'll say about any kind of gaming... it's a great way to piss away some hours. :nerd: I didn't play Black Ops or the MW series nearly this much.

Destiny does look pretty sharp. I think games will continue to get better in the next year or so, esp with the new consoles.
