Nitto TG "C" rated $675.00 out the door mt/bal inc.

BFG AT "C" rated $740.00 out the door mt/bal inc.

GY SA "P" rated $740.00 out the door mt/bal inc

Sorry they were all 265/70/17.

I'll see if anyone carries Yoko locally. I'm not really looking for the cheapest tire. Just an observation while shopping.

How are the BFG Rugged Trail's ?? ( not buying them) but was filling up today and talked to the guy at the next pump about his Taco which came on them stock , he said he liked them and they worked well. You don't hear much about them on the forums.

The tire shop I talked to about the Nitto said not to expect more than 40k out of them , no biggie since I only got 40k from the Revos for my comfort zone in winter , summer probably ok to run longer.

Well there is only one Nitto dealer here , so they can kinda set the price a little.

They are only $127 per tire here, but then you have to pay for mounting and balancing.

I called GY SA Wrangler today to get a price on the LT "C" rated tire and with mt./bal. out the door $995.00 inc. tax.

You folks with 17" rims are lucky

If your like me with 18" rims - better get the KY out before you go to the tire store, cuz your gonna spend some serious $ - for P rated rubber.

2 years after buying my Limited 06 T4R I am still ticked off at Toyota for shipping it stock with 18's

I think they are bone heads, just my opinion.

You are correct , when you hit the 18 mark the prices really jump. I remember back when 17's came out replacing the 16's and those were big $$$ too.

I feel like there is hope out there somewhere. probably by the time gas is over $10 a gallon, 18" rubber will be under $200 a peice for decent off road tread

This price includes: Allignment, lifetime rotation (every 5,000 miles), lifetime balancing, lifetime guaranteed valve stems (not exactly sure what this means), and nitrogen inflation. What do you guys think of this price? I know it sounds a bit high at first, but I was wondering if you guys think it's a fair price given what's included.

If you off road, dont accept P rated anything. 4 ply side walls Vs LT rated 10 ply side walls. P's are very easy to puncture (comparitively)

If you off road, you dont need nitrogen filled tires, because you will probably air down at some point and need to fill them up with air, so the nitrogen will just be lost - aka waste of money.

Valve stems - thats interesting, if you have a 4th gen, it has the TPS sensors in the valve stems, they are like $100 each to replace at a tire store (I know they can be had for less on ebay) so I would confirm / verify what they mean.

Good luck in your decision. I wish I had done more home work before I put new shoes on my beast - but like most things in my life, I was out of time and just needed to get it done fast so I didnt do any real home work. I paid I think like $120 odd a tire for 5 Bridgeston Dueler A/Ts - they are P rated (duh on me), they are ok in snow, not real good in deep snow, great on the highway, and mediocre (from what I can see so far) off road

I personally off road quite a bit and am pretty hard on my truck , but my P rated Revos took a few MAJOR hits and have been fine , just was not a fan of the off road and snow traction. The GYW SA "P" rated is supposed to be pretty tough so you probably won't have an issue.

is to find a set (5) of toyota T4R rims at 17" and add a set of cooper discoverer's to them

and keep the road tires i have now for my daily commute

Not yet , I'm try to suck as much out of my Revos as possible , but it will have to be soon but with the summer coming up and just might be able to squeek a little more out of them safely since they do still work well in the wet/rain.
