hey all. new here and figured I say whats up.
have a 97 sr5, little ome lift and a set of 265 wrangler authority
around the north east Arkansas area

Welcome! Seems like most of us that post in subforum are in Central Arkansas, any good trails in that part of the state?

Not much as for trails around these parts unfortunately. Always looking though. Mostly flat farm land where I'm at but I try to make do.

My family and I will be headed to Dallas in a couple of weeks from Tennessee. We're planning to split the trip up and stop in AR for a night. We'll be headed on I-40 to Little Rock then I-30 to Dallas. We're hoping to stop in, around or beyond Little Rock. Any suggestions for a good area to stop for the night?

Be on the lookout for an 01 Thundercloud T4R rolling down the highway with a load of youngins and a rooftop cargo carrier.

Thanks, y'all!

I live in Bryant which is approx. 20 miles outside of Little Rock. I'm not sure your timeline but there are plenty of hotels and restaurants to choose from but not as busy as Little Rock.

Good looking Runner.

I was actually looking at some places in Bryant last night. Seems like there are some good ones there with good reviews. Thanks for the suggestion and the compliment.

Just depends on what you're wanting.. Seeing as you have kids with you you're not going to want something downtown b/c there's not much for them (unless they're into historical stuff lol). There are some really nice places to stay downtown, however. You can stay in West Little Rock though which has tons to offer for everyone, including places to stay and activities for a family. If you want to sleep comfortably for the night there are plenty places in town.

Good looking 4Runner btw.

Thanks for the suggestions and compliment. We're not needing any sight seeing options, just a place to break the trip up. We won't be able to leave until early afternoon on Sunday Oct 6 and don't want to drive the full 10 hours to Dallas that night.

Gotcha, well take your pick. Bryant and West Little Rock are both good places to find hotels. There's an Embassy Suites not far off of 430 in WLR as well as a few other places to stay. Plenty of restaurants and fast food joints around to get dinner. If the kids are old enough and cool (wont tell mom), I'd suggest Twin Peaks :eyebrows: Equivalent to Hooters but more manly and overall better :thumb3: Otherwise, Purple Cow is a good place to appease younger kiddos.

That's good to know. We just didn't want to end up on the wrong side of the tracks, so to speak.

Well, considering mom will be with us, we'll have to try out The Purple Cow.

Thanks again for the suggestions y'all!

I'm not in Arkansas, but I do live close to the border and bought my 98 in Fayetteville last November from a girl.. Anyways I just bumped this thread after searching the interwebs for the previous owner of my 98 and I finally found him.. Lol. Earsfields was his SN and its changed a bit since he owned it in '12. Well if you see this earsfields, I got your old runner man.. =D

Anyone have any good vacation rental hookups in the Hot Springs area? If you or someone you know has any good leads, let me know.

Headed up that way June 25 to 29 for a 2 family vacation with Fjatheart. We're hoping to go to Superlift for at least a day of wheeling.
