Calling all Doug Thorley header owners! 03-04 v8 headers on a 05-09 v8???

Has anyone with a 05-09 put 03-04 DT headers on their truck? Someone on here a few guys did it, but I can't find the post....

The reason why people do this is because the 03-04 headers are $120 less and you can remove the air injection. I'm trying to advise someone that's doing this install can't find who is was that installed 03-04 headers without air injection on their 05-09.

The ports for air injection are in the head so without some sort of block off plates it can't be done. The flange on the 03-04 style doesn't cover them. The only way I've seen it done is to buy the 05-09 headers and just weld those ports closed on the header. I've just left them and put a block off plate at the end + slyfox AIP bypass module.

So, you have 05-09 headers, or 03-04 headers on your 05-09?
